Today, the grade 7's participated in the Intergenerational project.
Grade 8's heard the story Charles by Shirley Jackson. The grade 8's also began their
journals.
If yesterday's homework was not done, please find a few moments for your son or daughter
to tell you about the story The Purple Children.
What's Going On in 7/8A Language

Friday November 30 2012
I have had a fabulous time getting to know all of the students in 7/8A. Starting Monday, I will be their Language Arts teacher. Fortunately, we still get to have Mrs. Bibby Smith with us for the month of December.
We will be starting a series of short stories of a relatively adult nature, and then taking a look at the message behind children's stories. At that time, we will focus on Dr. Seuss and Robert Munsch. If you have any of their story books at home, it would be very much appreciated if you son or daughter could bring them in, clearly labelled with a name.
Also, please be on the lookout for a hardcover novel that is no longer wanted. As long as the book is a novel, the content does not matter. Each student will need one in early January.
Please check in to the blog often, I will post homework, assignment due dates and test dates. These dates should also be in your son or daughter's agenda as well.
